The stock price of Shoppers Drug mart was down because of the r changes made by the Ontario government. The Ontario province decided to cut the cost of generic medication to 25% of the equivalent brand name medication from 50%. This will reduce the prescription cost for the province. It will wipe out the professional allowance the pharmacies were receiving from the generic medicine manufacturers in return for selling their products. The shoppers Drug Mart was founded in 1962 by pharmacist Murray Koffler.
